Learn How to clear your cache from different browsers (2)

We continue from our post Learn How to clear your cache from different browsers and you can get more about it if you missed it. We have already seen how to clear cache on Chrome and Safari now we proceed to the next ones. Do read on.


How to Clear Cache for MICROSOFT EDGE

The Microsoft Edge browsers for desktop and mobile are different regarding how to clear their caches. Based on these differences, the process of clearing their caches shall be explained individually.

Clearing Cache from Desktop Edge

  1. Launch your browser and locate the three dots on the top right-hand corner of your browser
  2. Click the three dots to proceed to the next thing
  3. Now select Settings > Privacy and Security.
  4. Next, please scroll to see clear browsing data and click on it.
  5. Pick on Choose what to clear.
  6. You must check the Cached images and files for them to be part of the deleted items. 
  7. Select the Time range drop-down to choose the last hour, last 24 hours, last four weeks, or all time
  8. Select Clear now

Clearing Cache for a specific site

  1. See the three dots on the top right of your screen and click them
  2. Proceed to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
  3. Now scroll down the page and select See all cookies and site data.
  4. Look for the website’s name in the upper right corner or scroll down to locate it.
  5. Click on the arrow pointing downward positioned near the site name, then utilize the trash can icon for clearing the cookies and data.

In addition, you can use the buttons on the page top to Remove all shown or Remove third-party cookies.

Clearing Cache from Mobile Browser 

  1. Launch the mobile app, then tap on the three dots at the bottom of the screen
  2. Proceed to Settings > Privacy and security
  3. Tap Clear browsing data
  4. Check the cached images and files, click on the drop-down menu and choose your time range.
  5. If you wish, you can toggle on Clear browsing data upon exit to clear out all your data each time you exit Edge.


How to Clear Cache for FIREFOX

To clear the data in your Firefox, you have to know that they are located in the Privacy & Security section of Firefox’s settings.

  1. Launch Firefox, then locate and click on the three lines in the upper right corner of the app, then select Settings > Privacy & Security
  2. Scroll to where Cookies and Site Data are. Then select Clear Data.
  3. Click on the check box Cached Web Content (you can also check the Cookies and Site Data box to clear that too)
  4. Choose Clear
  5. In the Cookies and Site Data section, ensure you check the box that will help delete all cookies and site data when you close your browser. 

A Manage Exceptions button lets you choose any sites whose cookies you want to keep.

Clearing Cache for a specific site

To clear cache for a specific website, here is what to do:

  1. Please search for the lock icon to the left of the address bar and click on it.
  2. Select Clear cookies and site data. 
  3. Next, click Remove on the pop-up box.

However, if you wish to clear data from one or more specific sites, follow the steps below:

  1. Launch Firefox > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data. 
  2. Tap Manage Data.
  3. Please scroll down to locate the site you want to delete data from or type its name into the search box.
  4. Highlight the site and choose to Remove Selected or Remove All.
