We earlier reported that seven hostages were released last week, and within two days after their release, news has filtered in that the terrorists collected N100 million per hostage, which totaled N800 million.

Our source gathered that the only foreigner among the freed seven hostages was believed to have paid N200 million. Also, according to our source, the terrorists were demanding N100 million from each of the 43 hostages remaining in the terrorists’ den.

We earlier announced that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi‘s spokesman, Malam Tukur Mamu, released the new news of the hostages to the press.

While speaking, Mamu did not mention if any ransom was paid to the terrorists or not.

We gathered from our source that the bag seen in the group photograph with the hostages contained the ransom.
