Naira Marley –“No one should be in prison for smoking weed”

Mixed reactions have continued to trail a controversial claim about Cannabis made by a Nigerian rapper and singer, Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley.

On Twitter, the Marlian Music founder declared that cannabis, commonly known as weed should not be criminalized.

In his words; ”No one should be in prison for weed.”


A Facebook user @Daniel Paul, who shared his view backed his submission saying: “I swear down legalize this thing make men do their things in peace, all the things when Naija government no won legalize nai dy sweet Nigerians to do.”

@Ugo Emeka: “If you check wetin de happen for this country lately, you go know say everybody supposed de smoke weed. Cos if you no get moral you no go fit survive am.”
