Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has recounted how he felt when donations from friends and colleagues started coming in. The singer who featured in Temisan Emmanuel’s TeaWithTay lates episode revealed that the call for N200m donation was not planned in anyway as many believe.
OBO narrated that he was getting a haircut at his balcony when he decided to ask his close friends to donate the sum of N1 million as birthday gift. Soon after, he said he copied the intended message to be sent to his friends and pasted on his Twitter and boom, the rest is what we all know today.
Davido revealed that he was overwhelmed when the donations surpassed 60million,
